Thank you to all of you who came out on a Saturday evening to show your interest in being part of our Dance Team. Everyone did great and the staff is excited to be working more extensively with each and every one of you!!
After several requests, I did decide to post the scores for all dance team members (including Elementary). The Intermediate and Advance Dance Team was split at 50. Below 50 will be on the Intermediate Dance Team working with Miss Calynne on Friday evenings with a beautiful Lyrical piece of choreography. Above 50 will be working with Miss Dicey on Wednesday evenings learning a sassy jazz piece. Again, you all did wonderful, and be ready to work hard this coming week!!
Congratulations to everyone on being a part of the dance team. Just a reminder that all dance team classes are mandatory unless you are sick. Be sure to call if you are unable to make class. Below I have listed some details you will need to know about being a part of dance team. Also, I have attached a list of the competitions scheduled for this year.
Each dancer will need to construct a case containing everything you need for competitions. This will include: Hair Spray (Ausie Freeze) Hair Gel (Ausie Freeze) Hair Net (Dollar Store Bobby Pins Hair Bands Sewing Kit Band Aids Safety Pins Foundation Mascara Charcoal eyeliner Blush and Eye shadow applicators Make-up kit from Rachel Ross*
Everyone will be in charge of getting ready to compete on their own. If you have any questions, you can ask your instructor and we will be happy to help.
Also, each dancer will need to purchase a dance team suit. There is one on display in the front lobby. It is a jacket and pants that will have the Miss Dicey logo on along with the students name on the front. Please be sure to order this soon, as it is a timely process to get screen printed and you will need them for the first competition. Each member is required to wear them when attending competitions. You are never permitted in the audience of competitions without a cover up over your costumes. They are also to be worn at each and every awards ceremony. Just stop by the front desk to get yours ordered today.
