KinderClass1 (age 2 & 3) KinderClass is an entry level combination class that lasts one hour. Each week we will begin with tap and progress to ballet and end with beginner tumbling and co-ordination skills.
KinderClass2 (age 3 & 4) Age 3 (by November 1st) need have taken KinderClass1. Age 4 (by November 1) Is entry level combination class that last one hour each week. Tap, Ballet, tumbling and creative movements are taught in this class. This level 2 is a more structured format utilizing more barre work and warm-up exercises.
PreClasses (age 4, 5, &6) Pre-Ballet * Pre-Jazzz * Pre-Tap * Pre-Acro Age 4(by November 1st) need to have taken KinderClass 1 and 2. Age 5(by November 1) and Age 6 entry level class. This is a two year curriculum that covers the basic beginner skills needed to advance into each subject smoothly as the students advance. Each class begins with beginner warm ups to help teach discipline and progresses to across the floor combinations for individual attention and center floor choreography to enhance rhythm and memory skills. Many group activities are done to help grow communication and social skills among classmates.
Elementary Ballet * Tap * Jazz * Acro * Lyrical * Hip-Hop Age 6(by November 1st) need to have taken 2 years of PreClasses. Age 7 through Grade 5. Begin using more structured class setting and applying the basics skills needed to advance through upper level classes with ease.
Level 1 - An introductory to each subject. Students need to be 7 by November 1 or 6 and have completed two years of Pre-Classes. They will remain in Level 1 for two years before advancing to Elementary Level 2.
Level 2 - Class for children who have completed two years of Elementary level 1 or entry level for students who are 9 by November 1 or 10 years old. Students will be developing skills needed to advance into the next levels with ease and confindence. All students will remain in Elementary Level 2 until they reach Grade 6.
Middle and High-School Classes Ballet * Tap * Jazz * Acro * Lyrical * Hip-Hop * Modern * Pointe
Level 1- An introductory level to each subject. To advance, students need to have mastered all basic warm-ups and progressive steps in that subject. They also need to be able to execute single turns and have the flexibility and strength to do splits and basic leaps using proper technique.
Level 2 - An Intermediate level to each subject. To advance, students need to have mastered all warm-ups and progressive steps taught in this level. They should also be able to execute double turns and quadruple fouette turns consistently. They should have the strength and flexibility to do splits and more advance leaps (switch leaps and calypso leaps).
Level 3 - The advance level to each subject. Students who have completed all the requirements for level one and two will be in this level. They will be learning more advance warm-ups, turns, leaps, and strength building techniques.
Specialized Classes
Boys Tumbling A tumbling class designed specifically with the boy in mind. We do tumbling on padded mats with everything from cartwheels to standing tucks.
Adult Jazz Jazz Class designed for the dancer at heart. One hour class for anyone age 18 and over who would like to gain some personal time and workout at the same time. This class only runs $10.00 per month.
Down with Dance Classes designed for children with Down Syndrome. Students are not only learning fun dance steps, but combined with fundamental movements and a little occupational thereapy makes this class fun and beneficial. No fee will be charged for Down Syndrome Children.
Zumba Fitness Classes Certified Zumba Instructor LeAnn Bennett offers several morning and evening classes to fit everyones schedule. Zumba is the fun, fast paced, latin inspired fitness program that will be so fun you will forget you are burning near 1,000 calories per class!!
Ballet Ballet is fundamental in all types of dance and recommended in conjunction with all dance subjects. It is very structured and will increase the child's awareness of self-discipline, grace, flexibility and strength. We use the same ballet curriculum that is used in ABT in New York City, one of the leading ballet schools in the country.
Jazz Jazz is the most popular of all dance forms because of it's use of up-to-date music and dance styles. While most people relate jazz to just what they see on TV, we teach the history of jazz in it's traditional form.
Tap Tap is a rhythmic form of dance that uses cleats on the shoes to teach students how to sound out the rhythm in music through their feet.
Lyrical Lyrical is an expressional form of dance using techniques found in both jazz and ballet. All lyrical students must also be enrolled in Ballet Classes.
Acro Acro is tumbling class that is done with padded mats on the floor. Each class begins with an intense stretch class to warm the muscles and progresses to tumbling across the mats. Uses of spotting equipment and inclined mats are utilized as training aids for students.
Pre-Pointe Pre-Pointe is an introductory class to ballet students who wish to advance to pointe shoes. Students must have had at least 2 consecutive years of ballet training, be at least 11 years of age, and be enrolled in Ballet Class
Pointe Pointe is an extremely advanced form of ballet where a hard pointe shoe is used. Because of foot development, each student must be at least 12 years of age, taken 3 consecutive years of ballet and be enrolled in Ballet Class
Modern Modern is a more "contemporary" form of dance that utilizes many isolations and strenght movements along with lifts and team based choreography. All modern students must also be enrolled in Ballet Class.
Hip Hop Hip-Hop uses a lot of street style with traditional jazz technique. This class is taught using original techniques developed with breakdance. As in original Hip-Hop technique, all choreography is clean and non-suggestive.
